The well house on the corner of the T-junction is made of wood and stands on a masonry parapet. The roof is covered with tiles. The well wheel and the well pulley are present. The well has not been filled in, but it has dried up. The pit on the
Gasthuis is a very old example and dates from before 1350 (!) and built of marl and hammered a little deeper into the marl subsoil. The depth of the well is uncertain. In 2015, the Bemelen Local History Foundation made an attempt to measure the depth with a camera. At a depth of 40 meters, the camera came to a stop. However, it is not clear from the images whether the bottom has been reached, or whether branches are only obstructing. The foundation will make a new measurement attempt in the future.
