Our Lady's Chapel Terhorst, Terhorst 11 Terhorst
The Lady Chapel in Terhorst was erected by the residents of Terhorst out of gratitude for the unscathed passage through the Second World War. The yellow plastered roadside chapel with bluestone cross on the gable dates from 1949 and was designed by Sjef Hutschemakers. The façade is decorated in two different shades of yellow. The spit-arched entrance and the flanking buttresses are further emphasized by a darker shade. The chapel has two stained glass windows on two sides and is painted on the inside. On the altar is an icon of the Virgin Mary, on the ground a statue of the Virgin Mary that stood on the altar earlier. In the apse is a painting of the Virgin and Child. On either side of the vault are painted floating angels. The interior is shielded by a glass door.
