The history of this estate dates back to the fourteenth century. An exact year of construction is not known, but in 1381 there was a watermill here, the so-called Cruysmolen. In the second half of the nineteenth century, Louis Regout, the founder of the Mosa porcelain factory and the Stella glass factory, built his stately home on the site of the mill.
When he added a wing to the living area in 1900, he named his villa Kruisdonk. The Regouts continued to live in Villa Kruisdonk until 1985. Villa Kruisdonk has been in use as a special office location since the early nineties. The Mesterom family, as the owner, takes care of the management of the estate.
