The first buildings of the estate date from the beginning of the 17th century. It was a farmhouse with stepped gables. The current form, with the eye-catching columns, was realized in 1809. A clock is built into the triangle above the columns.
The park at the rear of the house was designed by the well-known architect Leonard Springer.
From 1939 to 1946 the house was populated by soldiers. First the Dutch army, then the Germans and after the liberation by the Canadians.
The house is privately inhabited and, like the park, is not accessible.
