Description

Near the Zevenwegen car park (where seven roads indeed meet), hikers will find a geological treasure. Without this mention, hikers would probably have passed this radius of this flint deposit, which was formed about 70 million years ago when present-day South Limburg was still sunk under the Cretaceous Sea. In this place the chalk (the marl) is completely dissolved and the flint remained. Flint is a rock-hard rock that people from the Stone Age made arrowheads and axes from.
