Black natural stone.
160 x 180 x 180 cm.
Hein and Brigitte Stufkens of La Cordelle, a centre for inspiration, peace and joy, took the initiative to place the monument.
The monument was unveiled on May 9, 2004 by Rev. Jan Blankert. The flame of the permanently burning fire of peace was brought by torch from the Peace Palace in The Hague to Cadzand by lifeboats of the Royal Dutch Rescue Society. After the torch arrived, Savitri MacCuish, director of Life Foundation, lit the flame in the monument.
