The Kruisberg between Eys and Wahlwiller can be climbed from different sides. From Eys (near the church) the road goes up and is called the Zwartebrugweg. If you climb the slope, you will indeed pass a bridge that runs over a railway, only used for a tourist steam train. The Zwartebrugweg, a beautiful rural road, is very steep, especially in the beginning with a gradient of more than 9%. After that, the rural road becomes easier and it is 6% on average. The slope is 900 meters long.
