Description

The Herikhuizerveld is a hilly heathland. The views are fantastic and from the tops of some hills you can see as far as Germany.

Striking are the golden yellow flowers of the gorse that can be seen well into autumn and even winter. The evergreen shrubs up to three meters high give color to the dry heathlands in the Veluwezoom. Gorse is rarer than you might think during the walk. It is not for nothing that it is a red list species.
