The first owner of 'In de Frachtwage' was a freight forwarder. He showed this by installing the facade stone from which the building owes its name. The facade stone shows a team of horses with a carriage in which several gentlemen sit. In addition to this facade stone, two more have been added to the facade: one with a curry comb and one with a woman with cheeses.
The entire facade is made of wood and the three facade stones are placed in the stone frieze above it. One of these is dated: 1612. The building has been restored several times.
