Hidden behind a hedge, on a south-facing slope along one of the steepest roads in South Limburg, lies a 2.5-hectare Stokhem vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines.
Wijngaard Stokhem gives you a magnificent view of the hamlet of Stokhem and the adjacent Wijlre.
The substrate of marl with a top layer of loess with here and there gravel and
Flint lends itself perfectly to these typical Burgundian grape varieties.
The Pinot Noir vines were planted in 2004/2007 and are now mature and produce beautiful wines. In 2022, the vineyard was expanded with Chardonnay.
The winery is located in Wijnandsrade Castle. There, three different wines are made from the same Pinot Noir grape: rosé, white and red wine.
