From 25 March 1885 to 31 March 1931, the steam tram ran from the Remise on the Leersumsestraatweg in Doorn to the city wall in Wijk bij Duurstede vice versa. It was a branch of the tram connection operated by the Ooster Stoomtram Maatschappij from Utrecht via Zeist to Rhenen and Arnhem. The nearby tea house Wapen van Sanderburg functioned as a waiting room. The unprofitable tram service had stops at the Langbroekerwetering and near Cothen. During a bombing raid on 31 December 1944, the requisitioned depot building was destroyed. The shape of the area on which the depot stood is still clearly visible. The associated six staff houses from 1885 are still standing.
