This monumental flour mill has been in the writings since the twelfth century. A plaque in the east wall shows that the outbuildings were refurbished in 1643 and in 1768 it was
mill building and the house extensively renovated.
Even the names of the miller couple Quaedvlieg-Douven are chiseled in the keystone above the door. The mill wheel can be admired from the outside from a bridge over the Geul that lies on the side of the mill.
After the death of the last miller in 1955, the mill became a catering establishment. A spacious parking lot and a terrace make this place a stopping place for walkers and cyclists.
