Gravenbosch

The Gravenbos is a beautiful and old forest located on the edge of Saasveld. Residents and other recreationists can enjoy nature through the hiking and cycling trails in the area.

It is an old and especially wet forest on boulder clay, with a rich spring vegetation and bird population.
In addition to wet forest, the area also includes drier forests, willow forest and barren grasslands on wet soil.
The wet forests look beautiful, especially during spring with rich blooms of forest anemone, teatweed, clover sorrel and dotter flower in the wettest places. The willow forest along the stream is a real swamp forest with groin grass, marsh sedge and sedge grass. The wet grasslands are very species-rich with, among other things, forest beet, veldrus, yellow lis and dotter flower.
