Description

The Diakonieveen nature reserve is a small varied area with heath and forest and a beautiful lake in between. A nice walk from the parking lot will lead you through this beautiful area. In the past, the diaconie (poor relief) had peat cut here for the poor, hence the name: Diakonieveen. A walking route goes around the lake that has been created here in the middle of the forest.
