To the left of the path you will see a large stone, hidden between the trees. According to some, one of the old baron's favorite hunting dogs is buried under this stone.

But... We know better! It is studiously concealed that this stone is one of the two blood stones in the Netherlands. One is in Kampen, then the other here in Valkenberg.

This stone owes its name to the fact that when you pierce it with a knife at midnight on a full moon, blood will flow out of it. But let me warn you before you put this into practice. For the rest of your life you will be haunted by demons.
