The mill cycle route leads you past the 3 beautiful windmills in the municipality of Maasgouw. Along the way, special natural beauty and centuries-old culture alternate. You will be amazed at how watery the environment you cycle through is.
From the Hompesche Molen the route leads via Ohé and Laak to Maasbracht, Wessem, Heel and Panheel. Along the way you will pass 3 mills. Furthermore, you will also pass the locks of Maasbracht, with the largest decay in the Netherlands. You will also pass other beautiful cultural assets such as the Castle Hasselholt and the Boschmolenplas. The Boschmolenplas, together with other water on the route, is part of the Maasplassen.
The Hompesche mill, in Stevensweert, is open from Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00.
The Leonardusmolen, in Maasbracht, is open every Saturday from 13.00 – 16.00 hours.
The Sint Lindertmolen, in Beegden, is open every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon when the blue pennant hangs out.
