You can start this sailing route at any boat rental location on the route.
For example, hire your whisper boat, SUP or canoe:
- The Westereen (The Silver Moon)
- Feanwâlden (The Omleding)
- Feanwâldsterwâl ('t Dûke Lûk)
- Leeuwarden (The Little Wheels)
Along the way you will come across some locks that you can operate yourself.
You can also shorten the route by sailing only part of it. Or deviate from the main route, to visit the villages of Feanwâlden, Munein and Gytsjerk. A round trip around nature in the Bûtefjild is also possible,
