TOP Nature walking route Grenspark de Kalmthoutse Heide

National Park Grenspark De Kalmthoutse Heide, located below Bergen op Zoom, is a park full of contrasts. Here you have heathland, fens and forest. That makes this national park a particularly varied hiking area that many count among their favorites.

During this beautiful walk near the Dutch-Belgian border, you walk on mostly unpaved paths with occasional height difference. You pass deciduous and coniferous forests, heathlands and shifting dunes. During your walk, listen carefully to the sounds in the forest. There is a good chance that you will hear a spotted woodpecker drumming on a tree. This walk is also suitable for children. It is a relatively easy round trip that starts and ends at a campsite with a pancake restaurant. Here you can end your walk with a nice lunch.
