The Veluwezoom is the oldest national park in the Netherlands. It dates back to 1930, but the landscape owes its shape to the last ice age. Thanks to its considerable size and high location, the Veluwezoom offers a varied landscape, with extensive forests, enormous heathlands, drifting sand areas and stately landscape parks that were once part of the many estates in the current park.
