This was the point vehicles could reach until the road was built.
A little further was a bridge over which cars could not drive at all. This was impossible because of the narrow gorge to Tatopan with steep rock faces . Before building the road , the rocks had to be cleared with dynamite .
This place was therefore popular with hikers, traders and pilgrims, since the transition from pedestrian to motorized traffic took place from here.
