Molin filming sites. The Lars Molin Society shows you where it happened.
When the film crew was looking for a place to shoot a scene for Badjävlar, the choice fell on Frösåkershallen.
The school was undergoing reconstruction and only the school’s gymnasium remained. In the introduction to the film, the main character, Nilsson, played by Anders Nyström, quarrels with the construction boss. You can really hear in the dialogue that Lars comes from this kind of environment. As in Blomsalva and other films, there is terminology and facts that made many identify themselves with the drama Lars wrote.
After attending school, Lars worked on various road projects. Both Lars and his father Fredrik worked on building the first Arlanda runway.
After that, Lars took a correspondence course that resulted in him becoming one of Sweden’s youngest Supervisors of Roads. When Lars Molin wrote Badjävlar, he was in fact Supervisor of Roads right here in Östhammar.
