The original name of this monastery is unknown. The site occupies 64,300 square metres. Most of the ruins used laterite as the primary construction material. Important structures include three viharas, thirteen chedis, eleven monks' residences (Kuti), eight bathing places, five wells, and two laterite cisterns. Based on the architectural style, the temple was established in the 14th-15th centuries. [Source: Information board in situ]
