In a remote building in the National Institutes of Health, researcher John Lilly built an isolation tank where he tucked in people not having any sensory stimuli. He put them in a tub to obtain weightlessness, away from light and sound. Most of them got hallucinations after a while. Later, companies would sell these isolationtanks as relaxation objects.
