The New York Times Building is a skyscraper at 620 Eighth Avenue, on the west side of Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Its chief tenant is The New York Times Company, publisher of The New York Times as well as the International New York Times, and other newspapers. The building is 1,046 ft tall to its pinnacle, with a roof height of 748 ft , and contains 52 stories.
The building was erected from 2003 to 2007 as the Times' headquarters at a cost of $850 million. The structure was designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop in association with FXFOWLE Architects. Construction was undertaken by a joint venture of The New York Times Company, Forest City Ratner , and ING Real Estate. As of 2018, The New York Times Building is tied with the Chrysler Building as the eleventh-tallest building in the city.
