In his book "Geography of Genius", Eric Weiner states that this spot is the true birthplace of Silicon Valley. The house itself is gone. All that remains is a small plaque. This was the original site of the Federal Telegraph Company. Despite its name, it was a radio company. Radio was the digital technology of its days.
