At various places along the beach of Vathi you can see the sea daffodil or Pancratium maritimum. The plant is threatened with extinction. Pass by during the evening or at night because at that time the flowers smell delicious. When there is not much wind, you might see the big Hawkmoth or Agrius convolvuli with is long tongue sucking up the honey. This moth is also pollinating the flower.
