Champs-Élysées

The Champs-Elysées is known from the last kilometers of the Tour de France, where cyclists rage en masse over the cobblestones. But the most spectacular end of the Tour de France on this street was undoubtedly that of 1989. The battle for the yellow was fought by Fignon and LeMond in a final time trial. LeMond won with 8 seconds difference. The smallest difference ever in the Tour de France. And he owed that mainly to the new time trial handlebar that is now so classic.
