This mansion on Brecqhou was built by the Barclay Brothers. Sir David Rowat Barclay and Sir Frederick Hugh Barclay, commonly referred to as the "Barclay Brothers", are British businessmen? They own the Telegprah. The Telegraph Group Limited titles are controlled via a wholly owned subsidiary, Press Acquisitions Limited. In 1993 the brothers bought the lease of the island of Brecqhou, off the coast of Sark, one of the smallest of the British Channel Islands. In 2012, there was a story that the two brothers wanted to take control of the island Brecqhou and Sark. Sark decides its own laws, sets its own taxes and with only 600 inhabitants is small enough to be taken over.
