1st on the right after crossing the American Bridge, then 2nd on the left.monument not open to the public inside.from there... panorama on the town of Givet (left bank and right bank). A bit of history... The Tower called "Gregory" to which we should give back its former name of "Saint Gregory" from the name of the chapel that was nearby, and probably one of the oldest buildings in Givet. Already in the 11th century, and probably on the site of a much older military post, it watched over the river to ensure the return of tolls for the Counts of Agimont. It was later heavily reworked, probably in the 15th or 16th century, and was heavily restored under Napoleon III. Nevertheless, it retains its original form for the lower floors. Text taken from the book by Mr Alain Sartelet "Givet and its region through the centuries"
