This 16th century chapel was founded by the Bishop of Lamego, D. Manuel de Noronha.
On the outer facade, on the left corner, the coat of arms of this bishop can be seen.
It is a small church, but the altar houses one of the treasures of Portugal : an 18th-century statue of the Holy Spirit, whose author is unknown. On either side are two other Baroque altarpieces, which emphasize the Gospel side. The pulpit , covered in gilding, and the 17th-century tiles along the walls are also notable.
