The Gardens of Appeltern are a Dutch complex of model gardens that has been located since 1988 in the town of Appeltern in the province of Gelderland, near Nijmegen and Tiel in the Land of Maas and Waal. The complex consists of 200 model gardens, some of which were designed by initiator and gardener Ben van Ooijen and partly by garden designers, gardening book writers and landscape architects. The whole was 15 hectares in size, but was expanded to 22 hectares in the course of 2013. The gardens are accessible for a fee. All kinds of advisory services have been set up for visitors, partly for the benefit of the company's commercial partners.
