Description by the author

The climb to the Col de Joux Plane is a famous cycling ascent from Samoëns and a famous descent towards Morzinne. It was on this climb that Armstrong lost several minutes in the Tour of 2000. He was so frustrated about this that he climbed the Col de Joux Plane everytime he had a chance. In his last Tour de France, he even climbed the Col during his day off.
