Around Snowdon

Starting from Porthmadog this route takes you trough the Aberglaslyn pass to Beddgelert and skirting to the west of Snowdon on to Caernarfon. Stop here for the castle if you wish, but the journey takes you on through the Llanberis pass, passing Snowdon on the other side. Stop here to take the train to the top of Snowdon.
The route continues on to the A498 and heads down the lovely Nant Gwynant with its superb views across to the

Snowdon range and Llyn Gwynant. Continue on back through Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn pass again, but we return to Porthmadog via enrhyndeudraeth, from where you could take the Ffestiniog railway, or stop at nearby Portmeirion for a visit.
