The RAVeL 1 trail, which takes you past the "Burning City", is the most beautiful way to discover this city with a rich heritage and long history by bike.

Liège was for eight centuries the capital of an independent principality and also the "seat" of large industry in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The city has preserved its built heritage very well and it has been completed by several new achievements in recent decades.

Its character and charm are largely determined by the Meuse River that flows through the city. We follow the stream by bike. The RAVeL allows you to discover the most important sites of the Ardent City in an original way.

From Coronmeuse, on the RAVeL, we cross the Atlas Bridge to the Quai Godefroid Kurth and then the Quai de Sainte-Barbe, where you can see Le Grand Curtius on the other bank. In addition, the Passerelle (footbridge and bicycle bridge) allows you to reach the city center by bike, via the rue de la Régence.

Soon, a new footbridge will connect the exceptional site of Parc de la Boverie to the Guillemins district and the beautiful TGV station designed by architect Calatrava.

After cycling through the Boverie, the new museum of fine arts, we cross the Dérivation, a canal dug in the 19th century to replace the arm of the Meuse in the Outremeuse district. At the Pont de Fétinne begins the RAVeL de l'Ourthe which leads to Tilff and Eneuux. However, we go to the city center to taste the famous comfort of Liège.
