Landscape
This landscape forms the end point of an open space that enters the city from Schoten and Brasschaat via Keizershoek. The name Lowland literally applies. This is one of the lowest soils in Antwerp. The landscape consists of remnants of the former polders. From the higher Kempisch Plateau, which starts just outside the city limits, some streams enter the Lowland. After passing through the landscape, they disappear into the water system of the port.
