Flat out distance

A longer ride that takes you again along the river schelde. We start by heading south along a bit of mountain bike track around the local pond called 'donk'. You can skip that part if you really hate a bit of bumps, but it's a really clean piece of running track so nothing dirty or difficult. Next we take the route upriver the schelde, turn around at the next bridge and come back downstream. We go through Oudenaarde on dedicated bike roads and continue downstream until the bridge in Zingem. From there we head back to Oudenaarde.
The great part about this route is that you can extend it downstream Gavere, Semmerzake or even further, each time adding between 10 and 15 kilometers to the route. Just follow the Schelde and enjoy!
