The hills of Burdinale

The Burdinale winds through a hilly and green landscape. The tour allows you to discover the richness and diversity of this region, where people focus mainly on agriculture.

The circuit finds its way on the two slopes of the Burdinale valley. We are in Haspengouw, one of Belgium's granaries. Our tour starts in Burdinne, near the Big Farm.

From the first kilometers, smooth passages alternate with more technical passages, in a setting of fields, orchards and forests. Along the way, villages follow one another. In Fumal, we cross the old line of the local railway.

At the time, this line connected Landen, Huy and Ciney. As you approach Vissoul, climbs and descents follow one another. In the heart of the Natural Park of the valleys of Burdinale and Mehaigne, small forest trails, rural paths and land consolidation plunge us into a preserved nature.

Type of route: Rural and land consolidation roads, paths.

Bike type: Mountain bike only.

Difficulty: A challenging journey of 37 km for experienced mountain bikers. Short slopes follow one another and lead to successive peaks above the valley.

Children: From +/- 16 years old.

Departure: Burdinale and Mehaigne Tourist Office.

Signage: Follow the mountain bike signs of circuit 3 (yellow triangles and circles).

Parking: Places at the Tourist Office.
