From Houffalize, this path follows the well-paved cycle path above the old tram to Bourcy (more information about this cycle path: http://gocycling.atwebpages.com/?part=traject&id=087 ). Then pedal on a plateau where the wind has a free hand. After the descent to Benonchamps, just after this village, there is the well-paved cycle path of the old Bastogne-Wiltz railway line. It's a nice part for cycling, the railway line runs downhill along the Wiltz River to Luxembourg and you even cycle through 4 illuminated railway tunnels. In Winseler, the cycle path is abandoned and follows a steep climb to Berlé. Then
descends on a well-paved road, closed to car traffic, to the lake of the Haute Sûre (reservoir). The reservoir is followed for several kilometers, and in Liefrange the ascent is climbed away from the reservoir (after leaving the main road, the climb becomes steep), but after Kaundorf there is a furious descent (11%) towards the dam.

Then the route crosses the beautiful town of Esch-sur-Sûre and then becomes the Sauer
