Espadrilles Armaité

Located in Idaux-Mendy, at the foot of the Basque Pyrenees, the company maintains the quality of a "made in France" product while adapting to fashion.
Armaïte is a family-run business that has been making espadrilles by hand for several generations, possessing the rare and unique know-how handed down by its elders. This know-how is passed on in turn, with training for each employee, to ensure that it continues to be passed down from generation to generation. Espadrilles are made in the workshop from jute, woven into soles, and cut canvas, which is then applied to the soles. The boutique offers a wide range of espadrilles for women, men and children. You'll also find bags, pouches and other items made from canvas and espadrille rope for an original gift. The workshop can be visited mornings at 10 a.m. and afternoons at 3 p.m., by appointment only.
