Als segles XVI i XVII es va desenvolupar un extens conjunt emmurallat a partir d'una torre medieval.
La torre quadrada de pedra calcària conserva el seu aspecte original, tot i que va ser remodelada al segle XIX. Al llarg dels segles, la masia castellera ha sofert diverses modificacions per aconseguir l'aspecte actual.
