Ultimate climbing tour Utrecht Hill Ridge

This scenically beautiful route was created to collect as many elevation meters as possible on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. There are 1060 elevation meters over a distance of 113 kilometers. You conquer all the Top-6 of the Heuvelrug, and only 5 out of the Top-28 are missing. To make as many climbs as possible, the route goes back and forth over the mostly narrow Heuvelrug. This causes the outbound and return paths to overlap in parts, and it can sometimes be difficult to see which branch of the route to follow. When in doubt, check the kilometer indications on your navigation device. The tour mostly runs along quiet roads and bike paths through beautiful forests. An exception is the section through Amersfoort, which was included in the route because there are some potentially surprising hills for many.
