Als je van de hoofdingang rechtdoor tot aan de grote grafkapel wandelt dan zie je links ervan het graf van Theofiel Moerenhout. Theofiel was een boerenzoon uit SInt-Ulrikskapelle. Hij bracht vier jaar door aan het front zonder contact met zijn familie. Na de wapenstilstand gingen enkele familieleden naar hem op zoek. En ze vonden hem! Maar hij mocht niet meer naar huis. Soldaten moesten nog in dienst blijven om de frontstreek op te ruimen. Hij vertrok toch stiekem. Maar in Aalst versperde een controlepost de weg. Daarom verklede Theofiel zich als vrouw met de kleren van zijn tante die hem was komen zoeken. Zo slaagde hij erin om toch Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle te bereiken wat een blij weerzien was. Maar na drie dagen keerde Theofiel terug om zijn taak opnieuw op te nemen aan de frontstreek.
