Het Bildt ; Bildts: 't Bildt; Fries: It Bilt) is een streek en voormalige gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland met als hoofdplaats Sint Annaparochie. De gemeente telde 10.502 inwoners en ligt aan de Waddenzee met 15,4 km kust. Het Bildt maakte ooit deel uit van de Middelzee en is een van de oudste Nederlandse polders. Hertog George van Saksen liet het gebied in 1505 inpolderen door Hollanders. De bewoners van dit gebied worden Bilkerts genoemd, zijn van een Hollandse oorsprong en spreken een eigen karakteristieke taal. Er wordt zodoende in dit gebied grotendeels, niet het in Friesland gebruikelijke Fries maar, Bildts gesproken. De naam "het Bildt" komt van opgebild, wat opgeslibd betekent. Men is ook niet 'in' het Bildt maar 'op' het Bildt.
