Flagey-pladsen er en af hovedstadens mest emblematiske pladser, som blev dannet ved at dræne en af Maelbeek-dammene. Pladsen blev opkaldt til ære for den tidligere borgmester i Ixelles, Eugène Flagey, og er nu et vigtigt kryds i øst for hovedstaden. Den mest emblematiske bygning er uden tvivl det tidligere Belgiske Nationale Radio- og Fernsikringsinstitut (INR), en imponerende Art Deco-bygning designet af den i Bruxelles fødte arkitekt Joseph Diongre. Den internationale rygte om dens studier, især Studio 4 med sin exceptionelle akustik, tiltrækker prestigefyldte kunstnere og musikere fra hele verden. Da Radio Broadcasting Corporation forlod i 1974, blev bygningen restaureret. Det nuværende lejemål er den Bruxelles-kulturelle institution 'Flagey', der fokuserer på musik og billeder.
