Der Plöckenpass , 1357 m ü. A., ist ein 37 km langer Pass in den Karnischen Alpen auf der Strecke von Kötschach-Mauthen im Gailtal ins italienische Timau in Friaul. Von dort führt die Straße südlich nach Tolmezzo und Udine.Westlich der Passhöhe liegt der Frischenkofel , östlich der Kleine Pal . Beide Berge sind Teil des Freilichtmuseums am Plöckenpass, das die Befestigungsanlagen aus dem Gebirgskrieg 1915–1918 veranschaulicht. Im Talort Kötschach-Mauthen befindet sich das Museum 1915–1918, das ebenfalls vom Verein der Dolomitenfreunde betrieben wird.
