Entre Sittard y Geleen se encuentra la localidad de Munstergeleen, donde nació Joannes Andreas Houben el 11 de diciembre de 1821, más conocido como el Padre Karel van Sint Andries.

En 1954, el granero fue convertido en una capilla en el lugar de nacimiento junto al Geleenbeek. Un lugar donde se puede encontrar una fuente de fuerza, ya sea para una breve oración, para encender una vela o para dar un paseo en el jardín.
Desde octubre de 2012 también alberga un museo y una tienda que vende artículos religiosos.
