Saint-Agnan is a French municipality with 133 inhabitants in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It belongs to the Château-Chinon arrondissement and the Château-Chinon canton.
Saint-Agnan is located about sixty kilometers east-northeast of Nevers in the Morvan. Within the municipality, there is the reservoir Lac de Saint-Agnan, which is fed by the rivers Trinquelin and Cousin. Saint-Agnan is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Léger-Vauban to the north, Saint-Germain-de-Modéon to the northeast, La Roche-en-Brenil to the east and northeast, Saint-Didier to the east, Champeau-en-Morvan to the southeast, Saint-Brisson to the south, Dun-les-Places to the west and southwest, and Quarré-les-Tombes to the west and northwest.
