Saint-Laurent est une église néo-gothique en briques construite en 1922 sur un dessin de Henri Carbon et Henri Pil de Ostende. Ces architectes étaient également responsables de la conception du mobilier.
Pour optimiser l'accessibilité, il a été décidé, contre la convention, d'orienter l'entrée vers l'avenue Westendelaan et non, comme d'habitude, avec le chœur dirigé vers l'est.
L'intérieur est non plâtré ce qui donne à l'ensemble une apparence sobre et épurée.
Dans le chœur, il y a une vitre colorée représentant les Sept Sacrements. Elle a été réalisée par la maison Desmet de Bruges.
