Jesolo est une ville de la ville métropolitaine de Venise dans la région de la Vénétie en Italie.
Le nom antique de Jesolo était Equilium , c’est-à-dire cité des chevaux. Le nom rappelle l’élevage des chevaux pour lesquels les Paléo-vénètes étaient célèbres.
Le nom actuel de Jesolo dérive probablement d’une série d’erreurs de transcription du nom le plus ancien .
