De Belgische koning Leopold II kwam hier in Bad Gastein, jaren nadat hij hier verbleef, samen met zijn jonge minnares Caroline Delacroix. Blanche Zélie Joséphine Delacroix, alias Caroline Lacroix, was al op jonge leeftijd barmeid en prostituée in Parijs. Leopold II leerde haar kennen tijdens de Wereldtentoonstelling in Parijs. Ze was pas 17. De koning 64. Hier in Bad Gastein kenden ze hun eerste romantische weken. Hij noemde haar Très Belle en zij moest hem Très Vieux noemen.
